  On December 21st, Zhefu Company successfully won the bid for the procurement project of the pumped storage (4×350MW) units and auxiliary equipment in Songyang, Zhejiang, from China Three Gorges Corporation, with a total winning amount of 822 million yuan. This achievement is the result of the company's long-standing commitment to the "rooted in industry, serving the country with industry" strategy. It marks another historic breakthrough in the field of large-scale unit development, following the success in projects such as the Guangxi Datengxia Water Conservancy Hub Project (8×200MW axial flow) and the Sichuan Dadu River Shuangjiangkou Hydroelectric Power Station generators (4×500MW). This success represents a significant stride in the field of new energy.

  After nearly two decades of development, the company has demonstrated continuous innovation, perseverance, and breakthroughs. At this point, its product portfolio fully covers various types of hydroelectric units, including bulb (Kaplan) type, axial flow type, mixed flow type, impact type, tidal type, and pumped storage units.

  The Songyang Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Yuyan Town and Zhuyuan Township, Songyang County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. It is a significant energy project in Zhejiang and a key implementation project in the "14th Five-Year Plan" period according to the "Medium and Long-Term Development Plan for Pumped Storage (2021-2035)" released by the National Energy Administration. The power station is designed as a daily-regulated pure pumped storage power station, equipped with four 350,000-kilowatt reversible pump-turbine generators, with a total installed capacity of 1.4 million kilowatts and an annual electricity generation of 1.4 billion kilowatt-hours.

  Upon completion, the power station will play a crucial role in tasks such as peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, frequency regulation, phase-shifting, and emergency standby for the Zhejiang power grid. Simultaneously, it will complement the advantages of the East China power grid within the region.

  Pumped storage units, due to their large size and high rotational speeds, impose extremely stringent requirements on precision and longevity. They have become the most complex and challenging "hard nut to crack" in the hydropower industry, universally recognized as the "crown jewel" on the hydropower equipment crown. As the most mature and economically optimal technology currently available, with the conditions for large-scale development, pumped storage units are hailed as gigantic "power banks" and high-capacity "regulators" for the power grid. They represent a green, low-carbon, and flexible regulation power source, playing a crucial role in the energy landscape.
